What’s In My Camera Bag

What’s in my camera bag: I get asked gear questions more than anything. And, the honest truth is that I don’t really like answering photography gear related questions. Because I think that gear doesn’t matter all that much. Sure, as you grow as a photographer your gear will need to grow with you. But there is no point in having great photo gear in your camera bag. Unless you’re getting the most out of it.

Before I start, it is worth noting that I firmly believe it’s the photographer that has the vision, chooses the subject and creates the image. There are many photographers that successfully shoot with a single body and lens, a compact camera or even just their camera phone and still produce quite stunning work so don’t get fixated on the photography gear, always fixate on the craft and seeking to create your own artistic style.

“The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it.” – Ansel Adams.

Started my photography journey in 1993 with a Pentax P30t + 50mm. When the digital revolution started, I stuck with Pentax. I eventually switched to Canon for their infamous lenses and was loyal to them for almost 10 years. Last six years I shoot with mirrorless cameras. That being said, what cameras and lenses can be found in my camera bag:
